The Centre for Clinical Psychology
At the Centre for Clinical Psychology we offer great mental health care. Our team are highly trained, compassionate and able to provide interventions across a range of areas. We also understand that it can be challenging to reach out for help. We don’t judge and we will aim to support you to take the necessary steps towards improved wellbeing.
New Parents
It’s not an understatement to say that becoming a parent is life changing. Babies and children can bring much joy, but also challenges such as sleepless nights, responsibility and anxiety. Our perinatal psychologists understand the challenges of being a parent and we know that all parents are trying their best. We also work with families following traumatic birth and families with children with special needs.
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an effective, evidence-based therapy for treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is backed by research and we can help you recover from traumatic events. We have trained over 860 mental health professionals in CPT, so we really do know trauma therapy. Telehealth Online Psychologists
The Centre for Clinical Psychology offers online – telehealth – psychology sessions to people from all around Australia. This means that people looking for professional mental health support and treatment can access Medicare-rebated sessions from their own home.
Pregnancy & Birth
Pregnancy is a time of enormous physical and emotional change. Our perinatal psychologists understand and can support you with the challenges associated with this life stage. We can also help following traumatic birth. We also support new parents following traumatic birth.
PTSD
At the Centre for Clinical Psychology we work with people who have experienced a range of traumatic events. This includes victims of sexual assault and childhood trauma, as well as those who have been involved in life threatening situations, natural disasters or workplace accidents. We also work with emergency service personnel. We understand that it takes great courage to seek support.
ADHD Assessment for Adults
We can also support people with ADHD with issues of identity and help you to build self-confidence. We can also help you manage the symptoms in work and in your relationships.
Depression
Depression is more than sadness. It isn’t something you can “just snap out of”. Our psychologists can help you recover from depression. Don’t suffer alone.
Anxiety
