Mandy is a registered psychologist who is motivated and committed to working with clients from diverse groups across varied mental health presentations. With training in evidence-based therapies of cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, Mandy works in collaboration with her clients to assess and treat mental health symptoms and help them achieve their wellbeing goals.
Mandy completed her Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at the Institute of Social Neuroscience Psychology (ISN Psychology) and has experience working with young people (12 to 25 years) and adults in the assessment and treatment of mental health symptoms and disorders at community mental health services. These mental health presentations include anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Mandy utilizes a biopsychosocial framework which considers biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors in assessment and formulation of a treatment plan with clients. Mandy also has a therapeutic approach that the client is the expert of their experiences and journey. Mandy believes that this contributes to a stronger shared understanding and therapeutic rapport with the client, which ultimately results in better outcomes.
