Mandy is a registered Clinical Psychologist who is motivated and committed to working with clients from diverse groups across varied mental health presentations. Mandy has experience working with individuals in the assessment and treatment of mental health symptoms and disorders at community mental health services. Mandy has a special interest in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and substance use.
Mandy primarily works in treatment based on cognitive theory. This includes evidence-based therapies of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that treats anxiety, depression, ADHD, and some substance use, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.
Mandy utilizes a biopsychosocial framework which considers biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors in assessment and formulation of a treatment plan with clients. In the therapeutic relationship, Mandy values forming a shared understanding and open communication in the rapport with clients.
