Jordana is a registered psychologist with a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical), with training in both cognitive-behavioural therapies and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Jordana draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to tailor the therapy to the unique needs, aspirations, goals and temperament of each client. Jordana helps individuals address their difficulties through the development of a deeper understanding of themselves, their past and present experiences, and their unconscious motivations. She recognises each client’s individuality and helps them create meaningful lives, which are guided by their values and lived in the present moment.
Jordana strives to create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for this process by being empathic, open-minded, and non-judgemental. She values and respects people’s humanity and the variety of ways in which they experience and live their lives.
Jordana has worked in a variety of clinical settings with adolescents and adults, undertaking individual and group psychotherapy, and psychological assessment. Jordana primarily works with individuals experiencing difficulties with mood and anxiety, interpersonal relationships, life transitions and adjustment, parenting difficulties, grief and loss, and substance use. Depending on the individual’s needs, Jordana works with clients in either a short, medium, or long-term therapeutic process.
