Bella is a registered Psychologist, undertaking the clinical registrar program. She completed her undergraduate and honour degrees at Swinburne University of Technology, and her master degree at ACU, Melbourne.
Bella has clinical experience in several settings, including community mental health, hospital outpatient clinics, and assessment clinics. She has worked with a range of presentations in adolescents and adults, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, depression, trauma, grief, adjustment problems, and chronic pain.
In all her work, she creates an empathetic, non-judgemental, and safe space for clients to openly describe their past and present struggles.
Bella collaboratively uses evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. She uses Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) when working with individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder. She knows the importance of keeping up-to-date with relevant research, and is always open to feedback and new learnings.
Bella enjoys fostering self-compassion and self-efficacy in her clients. Bella knows that it can be difficult to be vulnerable in therapy, and she helps clients move towards their goals, with warmth, validation, and care.
